Narrative: Two 7,500 square foot floors of a new building were fitted out for a medical library, seminar rooms, and the executive administration offices for the hospital.
Corry Memorial Hospital
Client: Corry Memorial Hospital / Pope Architects
Location: Route 6N, Corry, PA
Size: Approximately 68, 783 Square Feet
Completed: Winter 2012
Mr. Trott was not Architect of Record, but functioned as local Resident Architect during the construction phase working for the Architect of Record-Pope Architects of St. Paul, MN.
Narrative: This is a new 1-story hospital facility that is designed on a hillside property to be a critical access hospital, providing services that are more appropriate for an outlying community like Corry, PA. This facility provides various healthcare units including a 20-bed inpatient wing, surgery suite, imaging suite, trauma department, rehabilitation, various treatment stations, testing laboratory, carfeteria, administrative suite, training areas, community board room and all the appropriate support spaces. Many sustainable design methods were used in this facility including raingardens, various stormwater retention areas, abundance of daylight to the interior, an interior courtyard, backlit artwork in the patient rooms, sustainable interior finishes, and custom prefabricated patient room modules.

Narrative: This is a 3,000 square foot interior tenant fit-up in an Adaptive Re-Use project in which the 3-story, 120,000 square foot 1921 collegiate gothic building that was formerly the Meadville Junior High School was converted into a mixed-use commercial/residential facility. The tenant space includes reception, waiting, a large conference room, 3 offices, 3 exam rooms and support spaces.
