Statement:
Mr. Trott was part of a team led by Dahlkemper Landscaping that designed this special park which provides a safe and natural playscape environment for children impacted by domestic violence.  Valuable consultation was also given by Ken Finch of Green Hearts INC (Institute for Nature in Childhood).

Narrative:
This project transformed an inner city cluster of three residential lots into a nature elements-themed park to provide therapeutic play space for children and their parents that are impacted/displaced by domestic violence.  The park elements are numerous, including a stage, a "beach" area, natural wooden site furniture for the kids to gather in various types of outdoor spaces, plant-shaded pathways, a small "babbling" brook, a rustic wooden shelter, a rustic wooden footbridge (future), soft pathways for foot travel, paved pathways for wheeled toys, a "mogul" area, and sunny open space.
